// Wednesday Night Race League //
SUP Race League is a free community-driven event series, thanks to our volunteer hosts. We race at a new spot each week on the creeks, rivers and coves of the Chesapeake Bay.
At Race League, there is no timing. Simply show up with PFD, leash, light, board and paddle and enjoy paddling at a performance pace with a friendly crew of paddlers who love taking their fitness to the water.
WHEN:
Wed nights throughout June, July and August
-
Arrive by 6:30p
-
Racer meeting 6:45p
-
Race start is generally 7p, but will vary based on sunset, location and host. Check schedule below.
-
Important: If you arrive late, it's mandatory that you check in with the race host so we can account for everyone on the water.
DISTANCE:
Course length is 3 miles every week, designed by that evening's host.
LOCATION:
Directions and details to race league locations will be posted each week in our CHESUPEAKE FB group.
IMPORTANT:
Race league is intended for paddlers who have a solid foundation of stroke technique and water navigation. Everyone paddles at their own risk. No instruction is provided. We may be paddling in strong chop, tide, and winds. Do not put yourself in a risky situation if you’re not comfortable in conditions. As always, PFD and leash required. If you're interested in advancing your stroke and performance, book a lesson with us!
